This website

The website is a set of static pages hosted on Cloudflare. We do not use cookies, local storage, or analytics, and we load no scripts, fonts, images, or videos from other domains. Guide videos are served from this same domain.

Cloudflare delivers the pages. Like any web host, it may log technical details of each request, such as your IP address, the page requested, and your browser type, for security and operation of its network. Cloudflare keeps those logs under its own privacy policy. Thesmos does not use them to identify or track visitors.

The planning simulator on the PayoutRange page runs in your browser. The figures you enter are not sent anywhere, are not stored, and are not placed in the page address. Refreshing the page clears them.

If you email us, we receive your email address and the content of your message. We use them to answer you and keep the exchange for our records.

PayoutRange

Thesmos has no server that receives data from PayoutRange. The app collects nothing automatically for Thesmos. The only information Thesmos receives is an email that you choose to send.

What leaves your device

Three things, and nothing else:

  • Market data requests. When Settings, Market data is set to Live prices and dividends, the app asks Tiingo, an outside market data company, for prices and dividend history. Requests carry the ticker symbols in your portfolio and watchlist, the index fund you compare with, and the words you type in a ticker search. If an imported screenshot shows a company name without a ticker, that name is sent too. Like any internet request, each one also carries your network’s IP address and a standard header with the app’s name and version and the versions of Apple’s networking software and operating system. No share count, value, cost, account, device or advertising identifier, name, or email is sent. Tiingo is not told who you are and may keep its own web logs under its terms. Choosing Manual entry in Settings stops these requests.
  • The purchase check. See Payments.
  • A problem report, only if you send it yourself. Report an issue, in Settings, writes an email in your own Mail app. You see every word before it goes. It holds what you wrote, the screen you reported from, and, unless you turn off Include device details, the app version and build, the iOS version, the device model, and whether you use Free or Pro. Nothing about your holdings is added.

What stays on your device

Holdings, transactions, cost basis, dividends you record, your watchlist, Plan inputs, imported data, fetched market data, and settings are kept in an iOS data-protected store. If you back up your device, your iCloud or computer backup includes this store. PayoutRange does not sync between devices.

Tracking

PayoutRange does not track you across other apps or websites, and no third party collects information about your activity across apps or websites through it. The app takes no action on Do Not Track signals because there is no such tracking.

Age range

Where a state law requires it, the app asks Apple for your age range when it opens, using Apple’s Declared Age Range feature. Apple decides what to share and may ask you first. The app uses the answer only to meet that law, does not store it, and never sends or shares it.

Your choices

Delete the app, or open Settings and choose Delete all data, to remove everything from your device. Apart from an email you sent and the anonymous purchase record described under Payments, Thesmos holds no data about you. To have either deleted, write to the support address below.

Data you enter

PayoutRange needs only the figures it asks for: ticker symbols, share counts, cost, prices, and dividends, and for the Plan, your ages, spending, income, and the balances and contributions of other accounts you add. It never asks for account numbers, passwords, Social Security numbers, or brokerage credentials. Do not enter them anywhere in the app, including notes, imported files, and screenshots.

Imports

CSV files are read and written on your device only. PayoutRange keeps the holdings you add, not the file. Exported files contain your holdings, cost basis, transactions, and dividends received, so store and share them with the same care as a brokerage statement.

Screenshots you import are read on your device, by Apple’s on-device text recognition and, where Apple Intelligence is turned on, Apple’s on-device language model. PayoutRange does not store them. The picture is never sent. Only a company name read from it may be, as described above.

Payments

Apple processes all payments for PayoutRange Pro. To confirm Pro, a purchase receipt and an anonymous app-user identifier are sent to Apple and to RevenueCat, a subscription service provider. The app sets no account or custom identifier, so nothing links the identifier to a person. RevenueCat keeps the purchase record under that identifier for as long as it is needed to confirm Pro, under its own terms. RevenueCat never receives your holdings. Thesmos does not receive your payment details.

Children

PayoutRange is rated 18+ and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. The website is not directed to children.

Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page, with its effective date at the top. Material changes to PayoutRange practices are also announced in the app’s release notes.
